The Holy Spirit teaches, reminds, and guides believers in the truth of Christ.
Jesus knew that His disciples would face moments of confusion and uncertainty after His departure. So He made them a promise: that the Father would send a Helper, the Holy Spirit.
This Helper would not only be with them but also dwell within them, teaching them all things and reminding them of what Jesus had said. What a comfort that must have been to those who had walked so closely with Him, knowing they wouldn’t have to rely on memory or understanding alone.
And what assurance it brings us today: we are not left alone. The Holy Spirit continues to work in us-illuminating Scripture, deepening our understanding, and guiding us into truth. He helps us recall what Jesus has spoken, especially when we need it most.
In every season, the Spirit is present and faithful. He is not just a helper in name, but our active, personal teacher in the journey of faith.
Invite the Holy Spirit to be your Teacher today. As you read Scripture, ask Him to bring to remembrance Jesus’ words.
Holy Spirit, I welcome You. Teach me today. Open my heart to understand Jesus’ words and remind me of what I need to know and live out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
